You have had three SEO proposals for your Dubai or Riyadh business and they differ wildly in price, promises and length. Before choosing, it helps to know what actually drives the cost, what a realistic timeline looks like and what you are entitled to see each month. These are the questions we hear most, answered plainly.
What decides the cost of SEO in the Middle East?
| Factor | Why it raises the cost |
|---|---|
| Number of countries | Each country needs its own pages, listings and keyword research |
| Arabic and English | Two keyword lists, two sets of pages, two sets of writers |
| Competition in your category | Property, clinics, cars and software in Dubai are crowded; niche B2B is not |
| State of the website | A slow or badly built site needs technical work before anything else |
| Content you can supply | Pages written by you cost less than pages written for you |
| Local presence | Google Business Profiles and citations for each office or city |
A regional quote that does not say how many countries and languages it covers is not a quote. Starting prices are on our pricing page; a real figure follows a look at the site and the markets. How the countries differ is in SEO in the Middle East.
How long does SEO take in the UAE or Saudi Arabia?
Nobody can promise a date, and anyone who does is selling something else. What can be said is the order in which results arrive. Technical fixes, such as speed, indexing and broken pages, show their effect soonest. New pages written for real searches follow once they are indexed and start to rank. Authority, which comes from other sites mentioning yours, takes longest and matters most in crowded categories. A new site in a crowded Dubai category waits longest; an established B2B site in a niche can move quickly.
Should we do Arabic or English first?
If your customers search in Arabic, Arabic first, with real pages rather than translations. If they are mainly expatriates or foreign-run companies, English first with Arabic following. Most Gulf businesses need both in the end, each at its own addresses with hreflang between them. The practical rules are in Arabic SEO in the UAE and Saudi Arabia; the Dubai-specific case is in bilingual SEO in Dubai.
Can one agency cover the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Gulf?
Yes, if it treats them as separate campaigns. Searches, competitors and even the Arabic phrasing differ between Dubai and Riyadh, and a page that ranks in one does not rank in the other by right. Ask how the agency researches each country, who writes the Arabic for each and whether reports are split by country. One agency with one plan per country is efficient; one agency with one plan for "the Middle East" is a sign to look elsewhere.
What should the monthly report show?
- Searches that brought visitors, by country and language, from Search Console.
- Enquiries, calls and WhatsApp messages that came from search, not only rankings.
- Pages published or improved that month, with the searches they target.
- Technical issues found and fixed.
- What the agency recommends stopping, because it is not working.
Rankings alone flatter. A report that shows ten keywords moving up and no change in enquiries describes work, not results.
Does a remote agency work for Gulf SEO?
It does when the research is done in the real Arabic your customers type, the writers are native readers, and the reports and calls land in your working week. We serve the Gulf from Karachi, one hour ahead of Dubai and two ahead of Riyadh, and we say plainly that we have no office there. Our SEO services for Dubai and the UAE and SEO services for Saudi Arabia pages set out what a month includes.
What should we do before hiring anyone?
Choose the countries
Only those you can serve and invoice; each one costs money to rank in.
Choose the languages
Arabic, English or both, per country, based on who your customers are.
Fix the site basics
Speed, mobile layout, one address per page, working forms.
Open Search Console
So the baseline is measured before the work starts.
Set up Business Profiles
One per office or city, with matching details.
Agree the report
Decide what you will see each month before the first invoice.
We built NHK Logistics, a Dubai freight forwarder's site with a page for every service, and Absher Landscaping, a UAE site in four languages; both were built with search in mind from the page list onwards. Contact us with your countries and languages and we will say what a sensible first plan looks like.
Questions people ask
Is SEO in Dubai more expensive than in Pakistan?
Usually, because the categories are more crowded and the work is in two languages. The method is the same; the volume of work differs.
Can we pay for SEO only when we rank?
Rarely offered honestly, because ranking depends on competitors and Google as much as on the agency. Pay for defined work and judge it by enquiries.
Do we need a separate website for each Gulf country?
No. One site with country and language sections at their own addresses, linked with hreflang, is the normal approach.
How much content do we need to write?
Enough to answer the searches that matter in each language. A page per service per country is a common starting point; the research decides the rest.
What if we stop paying after a few months?
Pages and fixes stay and keep working. Rankings in crowded categories can slip as competitors keep publishing.
