POS system: what people ask
What is a POS system?
POS (point of sale) software is what the cashier uses to bill a customer. A good one also updates stock, records the payment method and gives you a closing report for each shift.
Does it work for restaurants as well as shops?
Yes. Restaurants get tables, kitchen tickets and delivery orders; shops get barcodes, returns and exchanges. Both run on the same system.
Which printers and scanners does it support?
Standard thermal receipt printers and USB or Bluetooth barcode scanners. Tell us what you already have and we'll confirm before you buy anything new.
Can it connect to our ERP or accounts?
Yes. Operix POS can post each day's sales straight into the ERP's accounts and stock, so nobody re-enters totals at month end.
