Custom software, ERP and apps for businesses in the USA

Operix, a software company in Karachi, takes on custom software, ERP, CRM, mobile app and website projects for American businesses. No part of the work happens in the US: the team sits in Karachi and delivers remotely. Systems run in US dollars, fetch each state's sales tax from a tax service, connect to QuickBooks, and are reviewed on calls in the US morning.

Built for USA

What's set up for you

US dollars and state sales tax

Invoices and reports in USD. Sales tax is set by each state and often by the county or city, so the system asks a tax service for the amount instead of relying on a rate table kept by hand.

QuickBooks and payment links

Invoices and payments post to QuickBooks, and online checkouts accept cards, PayPal and the Apple and Google wallets through the processor account your company already holds.

Calls in your morning

Karachi is nine to ten hours ahead of Eastern time and twelve to thirteen ahead of Pacific. Reviews are booked for the US morning, which is our evening.

Scope, code and accounts are yours

The scope is agreed in writing before work starts. Your company holds the repository, the hosting, the domain and the app store accounts, and our team is invited in.

Accessibility and state privacy

Screens are built to work with a keyboard and a screen reader, and privacy notices allow for rules that differ by state, California's among them. Your lawyer confirms what applies to you.

English, and everything in writing

An English-speaking team. What is decided on a call is written up and sent to you, so nothing rests on memory across the time difference.

How we work

Remote, with the same team

Operix has no premises in the United States and nobody stationed there. Every US project is run online by the team in Old Clifton, Karachi. It opens with video calls about how your business runs, moves on to clickable screens that wait for your sign-off, then to weekly releases loaded with your own records, and closes with training on the live system. Karachi is nine to ten hours ahead of Eastern time and twelve to thirteen ahead of Pacific, so live calls fall in the US morning and the Karachi evening. Outside that window the project moves on written updates, and whatever was built overnight is waiting when you start.

Questions

Working with Operix in USA

Do you have an office in the USA?

No. The company has a single address, in the Old Clifton area of Karachi, and no branch or agent in America. US clients deal with that team online, on calls in the US morning and through written updates the rest of the time.

How does the time difference work?

Karachi is nine to ten hours ahead of Eastern time and twelve to thirteen ahead of Pacific. We keep a fixed call slot in your morning, which is our evening, and the build work happens while you are offline.

Who owns the code?

You do. Your company is the registered holder of the source code, the hosting and domain, and any App Store, Google Play or payment account, and the agreement records that from the outset.

Have you built software for US companies before?

No US company appears in our published portfolio. The bulk of it was built for Pakistani and UAE businesses; a few projects are international, among them a Belgian fashion label's online store. Judge us on the work you can open and on a demo.

Also serving Pakistan, Dubai & UAE, Saudi Arabia, UK, Europe, Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad & Rawalpindi.
