POS system in Saudi Arabia

Operix POS is billing software for Saudi shops, cafés, restaurants and pharmacies. Every receipt is an electronic invoice with a QR code and VAT at 15%, printed in Arabic and English, and mada, STC Pay, Apple Pay and cash are closed separately at the end of each shift. Setup and cashier training are done remotely from Karachi.

Set up for Saudi Arabia

  • A QR code on every receipt

The slip the customer takes away is the e-invoice: numbered by the system, showing the VAT, and printed with its QR code on a standard thermal printer.

  • mada at the counter

The cashier marks each sale as mada, card, STC Pay, Apple Pay or cash, and the shift closing lists them one by one so the terminal slip and the drawer can both be matched.

  • Arabic and English receipts

Item names are stored in both languages, so the receipt prints Arabic from the right with English beneath, and the cashier can search in either.

What the POS does

The same POS system we build everywhere, with the local setup above for Saudi Arabia.

Fast billing

Barcode scanning, quick keys for best sellers, discounts within limits you set, and receipts on thermal printers.

Restaurant orders

Tables, takeaway and delivery on one screen, with kitchen tickets that print by station.

Stock that moves with the sale

Every item sold comes off stock at that branch, and recipes deduct ingredients for restaurants.

Cash and card closing

Opening float, cash, card and wallet payments, and a shift closing report that shows what should be in the drawer.

Branches and head office

Each branch sells on its own; head office sees every branch's sales and stock live.

Works through a bad connection

Billing continues when the internet drops and syncs when it is back.

Questions

POS system in Saudi Arabia: what people ask

Does the POS take the mada payment itself?

The payment is taken on the card terminal from your bank or payment provider, and the POS records the method and amount against the sale. Whether the terminal can be linked so the amount is not typed twice depends on your provider; we check that during discovery.

What happens at the counter if the internet drops?

Billing and printing carry on at the till, and sales sync when the connection returns. How invoices issued offline are then reported to ZATCA is part of the integration design; confirm the rule for your business with your tax adviser.

How much does a POS system cost?

It depends on the number of counters, branches and features. We don't publish prices; message us on WhatsApp for a written quote.
