Many Pakistani businesses have one without the other: a Maps listing a customer once created with the wrong phone, or a website Google never connects to the shop. Doing both together is one of the cheapest ways to get more calls.
What does each one do?
| Google Business Profile | Website | |
|---|---|---|
| Where it shows | Maps, the local pack, near me searches | Normal search results, ads, social links |
| Best for | Directions, calls, hours, reviews | Details, menus, products, orders, trust |
| Who controls it | You, but Google and the public can suggest edits | You fully |
| What it needs | Verification, category, photos, reviews | Fast pages, clear content, matching details |
How do you set them up together?
Fix your details
Write the exact business name, full address and one main phone number. Use them everywhere, character for character.
Claim or create the profile
Search for your business first; if a listing exists, claim it instead of making a duplicate.
Verify
Google chooses the method, often a short video of the shop sign, inside and tools of the trade. Service-area businesses can hide the address.
Complete it
Primary category, hours, services, real photos, and a link to the website page for that location.
Match the website
Put the same details, a map and hours on the site's contact or location page, plus local business structured data.
Keep it alive
Reply to reviews, post updates and update hours for Ramadan and holidays.
What about businesses with several branches?
Each branch needs its own profile and, ideally, its own page on the website with that branch's address, phone and hours. Linking every profile to the home page wastes the chance to rank each branch.
Do not stuff keywords into the business name on the profile, such as 'Best Pizza Karachi Cheap'. Google can suspend listings for it.

Questions people ask
Is Google Business Profile free?
Yes, Google does not charge for the listing. You pay only if someone sets it up or manages it for you.
Do I need a shop to have a profile?
No. Service-area businesses, such as home tutors or AC repair, can have a profile with the address hidden and service areas listed.
Why is my verification taking so long?
Google reviews some categories manually and may ask for another video. Make sure the sign, address and business are clearly visible in what you submit.
Can I have a profile without a website?
Yes, but a website with matching details helps Google trust the listing and gives customers somewhere to check you before calling.
