What website maintenance should include, and what it costs to skip

Website maintenance services keep a site safe, fast and correct after launch: software and plugin updates, backups, uptime checks, security fixes, small content changes and a monthly look at speed and search. In Pakistan the cost depends on the type of site, how often content changes and how fast you need replies. A written list of what is included matters more than the monthly figure.

Hand it over: our website maintenance service.

Most business owners think of the website as finished on launch day. Then a few months later the contact form stops sending, the SSL certificate expires, or a plugin update breaks the menu. Nobody notices until a customer says they could not get through. Maintenance is the routine that stops that from happening.

What does website maintenance cost in Pakistan depend on?

  • The type of site: a five-page company site needs less than a busy online store.
  • The platform: WordPress with many plugins needs more updates than a custom static site.
  • How many content changes you expect each month.
  • How fast you need replies, especially for a store that takes orders.
  • Whether hosting, domain and email are included or billed separately.

Starting prices are on our pricing page. Whoever you choose, compare quotes by the list of tasks and the response time, not only by the monthly figure.

Make sure the domain, hosting and admin accounts are in your name even if someone else maintains the site. If the relationship ends, you keep the site.

Do you need a monthly plan?

Not always. A simple company site that rarely changes can do well with updates and checks every few months. An online store, a site that runs ads, or one that brings most of your leads should be watched every week. Our guide to website maintenance after launch explains what to check yourself if you choose not to pay for a plan.

How Operix handles maintenance

Every site we build, such as the bakery website for Hadie's Crust or the freight forwarder site for NHK Logistics, comes with a named contact on one WhatsApp number. We also take over sites built by others after an audit. If your site is slow, read how website speed affects sales.

Questions people ask

Can you maintain a website built by another company?

Yes, after a short audit of the code, hosting and plugins. We tell you what needs fixing first before agreeing a routine.

What happens if my site gets hacked?

With a maintenance plan we restore from a clean backup, close the hole and change access. Without backups, recovery is slower and sometimes not possible.

Are content changes included?

Small ones usually are, up to an agreed amount each month. New pages or features are quoted separately.

Is hosting part of maintenance?

It can be, or you can keep your own hosting. Either way, the account should be in your name.
